As part of activities surrounding the African Football Convention (AFC), a delegation led by the President and Founder of African Coaches Connect (ACC), Coach Eldred Sunju Abbey, paid a courtesy visit to Fath Union Sports Academy.

 

The visit created an avenue for in-depth and meaningful engagement with the Academy’s Technical Director, Coach Rachid Moujahid, focusing on key pillars essential to the sustainable growth of African football. Central to the discussions were coach education, the establishment of structured player development pathways, and the institutional frameworks needed to support long-term football development across the continent.

 

Both parties emphasized the importance of aligning grassroots football initiatives with professional standards to ensure a seamless transition for young talents. Capacity building for coaches was also highlighted as a critical factor in improving technical quality, leadership, and overall competitiveness within African football systems.

 

In addition, the dialogue underscored the value of cross-border knowledge sharing, with a shared understanding that collaboration among African football stakeholders is vital to addressing common challenges and unlocking collective potential.

 

Beyond the exchange of ideas, the visit reflected a mutual commitment to strengthening long-term partnerships and fostering resilient football development ecosystems.
