Abia Warriors Declares Uzorji, Udezuka AWOL
The Management of Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia has declared two of its young Stars Henry Udezuka and Christian Uzorji absent without leave.
According to the release made available to Exclusivenews.com.ng from club, the two players were accused of deliberately or willingly absenting themselves from the club's duties and obligation. "They abandoned the club for no just cause after receiving all their entitlements upto July 2023. The club is not indebted to them".
Continuing, Abia Warriors said "by this action they have breached their contractual obligations to the club and the club shall activate its disciplinary measures against them.
The club therefore notify all clubs not to transact any business whatsoever with the players as they are bona fide members of Abia Warriors FC.
Henry Udezuka a youth players of Abia Warriors right from the Academy before he was awarded the club's Scholarship to pursue his Secondary education. On completion of his senior secondary school, Udezuka was promoted to the senior team of the club.
Christian Uzorji was signed from Like-Minds FC of Gwagwalada Abuja, a Nationwide Division 1 team. Uzorji still have contract with the team till 2026.
