The Speaker Abia State House Of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ihuoma  Emeruwa has congratulated Abians and Nigerians home and in diaspora as the nation marks it's 63rd Independence anniversary.

The Speaker in his message enjoined Abians and Nigerians in general to emulate the endearing  spirits of courage and selflessness which were displayed by the nation's founding fathers.

RT. Hon. Emeruwa  also urged Abians and Nigerians to endeavor to join hands in the spirit of love and unity  so to achieve even the most daunting tasks in the reclamation of our dear country. 

He  equally urged Abians and Nigerians to keep hope alive in the midst of the hardship and challenges the nation is currently facing, he also prayed that God grants us a peaceful, united and prosperous society.

Nigeria gained her Independence from Britain on the 1st of October 1960 to mark the end of prolonged colonial era in the West African country.
