Head Coach of Abia Comets Football Club of Umuahia Kelvin Ejeh has revealed that the recently ended NALCOM Pre-Season Tournament was an eye opener for his team, as they put finishing touches to the commencement of the 2024 NNL season. 

Abia Comets finished third in the Pre-Season Tournament winning one match, losing one and drawing three. They finished with six point below City FC and Crown FC who finished with twelve and nine points respectively. 

Coach Ejeh popularly called Mouriho by his admirers said "the main challenge with the team now is physiological fitness, which I believe we will achieve before the commencement of the league season in the next two weeks" .

According to him, the conversion of numerous goal chances created at the Pre-Season Tournament was another thing. "We missed a lot of chances in our matches, we will do some drills on goal scoring and I am sure we will get it right". 

He further revealed that he  will  inject new legs into the team, to ensure that they have a balanced team.
