Abia Angels goalkeeper Oloko Fatima has been adjudged the Best Goalkeeper of Week 7 in the ongoing Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership.

The weekly cash award, sponsored by the Judith Chime Foundation, has been in existence for over four football seasons and recognises outstanding goalkeeping performances across the league.

Fatima earned the honour following an impressive display in Abia Angels’ 1–0 away victory over Delta Queens in Asaba during a midweek fixture. The young shot-stopper produced a series of crucial saves to keep a clean sheet, ensuring Abia Angels secured their first away win of the season.

Born on February 2, 2008, in Cross River State, Fatima is regarded as one of the most promising goalkeepers in the league. She is currently a member of the Nigeria U-20 women’s national team goalkeeping unit.

Her club career has seen her feature for FC Robo, Adamawa Queens, and Rivers Angels FC, where she built a strong reputation. Fatima’s honours include a gold medal at the Lagos State FA Cup, gold at the Flying Officers Preseason Tournament in 2021, silver at the AITEO Cup in 2021, bronze at the NWFL Premiership Super Six in 2021, and winning the President’s Federation Cup with Rivers Angels in 2025.

The NWFL Best Goalkeeper of the Week award was instituted by Judith Chime, a former Super Falcons goalkeeper, as part of efforts to promote excellence and recognise outstanding performances by goalkeepers in the Nigerian women’s league.

Fatima’s latest recognition further underlines her growing status as one of the league’s standout young talents.
