Abakaliki, a Nigeria National League NNL side, has signed David Dennis, a left winger from OB/U Academy, Uyo, on a season-long deal, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

Dennis is one of six new players Abakaliki FC recruited during the mid-season transfer window.

His arrival highlights Abakaliki FC's bold efforts to beef up the squad ahead of the second stanza of the 2025/2026 Nigeria National League, NNL.

Coach Starplus Anistar was very active in the transfer market and was able to lure the left winger to The Rice Boys fold.

Exclusivenews.com.ng understands that Dennis could make his Abakaliki FC debut in Sunday's away match to Inter Lagos.
 
"He was supposed to travel to Europe Europe but his new club, Abakaliki FC, said the match against Inter FC was a very crucial game in their promotion ambition", Obinna Ajoku, a former Nigeria U23 National Team invitee and President of OB/U Football Academy told Exclusivenews.com.ng.

"He's a very good player and I want to take him to Europe", Ajoku added.
