A&A Kiviasennus of Nnewi on Thursday got their Anambra NLO Clubs Pre Seaon Tournament on a winning note following a 2-0 win over Rangels Football Academy, Ichida.

Two quick-fire goals in the opening half by  Odinaka Agila after he converted a penalty with Ugochukwu Nwosu doubling his side's advantage just a minute later to hand A&A a 2-0 first half caution which.proved healthy and decisive enough for the NLO1 side to  steady their confidence for the challenges ahead

Beyond the victory, Coach Ben Lotanna reckons that what's more important is for him to test his players in fairly 'competitive' games which the Anambra NLO Clubs Preseason tournament is serving as the right opportunity.

"Yes, it feels good to win. It gives players confidence going into the next game.

"But then, it's important to expose the players in  a seemingly competitive games such as this Preseason tournament offers.

"It also helps the coach ascertain the level of his players assimilation of his trainings and as well pick the best combination of players for each game.

"Tournaments like this helps in identifying areas of deficiency in a team so you can correct them going into competitions like the NLO so we commend the initiators of this (pre season) tournament", the former Gabros International and Egypt based player now turned coach said.
