The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed that only 30 percent of candidates that took the 2024 UTME scored over 200.

JAMB Releases 2024 UTME announced the release of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results. The announcement was made at a press conference held by JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, at the board’s headquarters in Abuja on April 29.

The examination, which commenced on April 19, ended on April 29. The release of the results was delayed slightly to allow for thorough scrutiny and the prevention of impersonation, mixed biometrics, and other malpractices.

Over 1.94 million candidates registered and took the exam in 118 towns and 700 centers nationwide. The process was expedited due to JAMB’s efficient clearance and biometric capture of candidates.
