The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership began  on January 15, 2025. The league is featuring 16 teams divided into two groups of eight.

*Group A Teams:*

- _Abia Angels_
- _Ekiti Queens_
- _Heartland Queens_
- _Confluence Queens_
- _Remo Stars Ladies_
- _Nasarawa Amazons_
- _Dannaz Ladies_

*Group B Teams:*
- _Rivers Angels_
- _Ibom Angels_
- _Adamawa Queens_
- _Naija Ratels FC_
- _Honey Badgers FC_
- _FC Robo Queens_
- _Bayelsa Queens_
- _Delta Queens_

The top three teams from each group will advance to the NWFL Premiership Super Six Playoffs, where the league winners will be determined. Last season's champions, Edo Queens, will look to defend their title.
