NWPL : Koku Joins Rivers Angels ; Reveals Reasons for Switch From Ibom Angels.

Former Ibom Angels player Damilola koku has pitched tent with the league champion Rivers Angels FC of Port Harcourt.
Koku who scored 6 goals in both the league and the AITEO cup in the 2019 season has eyes in increasing her figures in the upcoming season.

” This movement is a big boost for me as every player wants to play at the highest level in the NWPL and Rivers Angels offers such.”

On the reason for her switch koku as an aspiring player did not have second thoughts.
” Playing in a team as quality like Rivers Angels both in players personnel and welfare is a Yes , Yes for me.
I hope to score more goals, attract national team handlers and play for the U 20 national team as a start ” she explained.

” The team manager doesn’t even think of only football but finds other avenue to add value to her players, the recently soap making practicals players had is a testimony of her leadership quality.
I am thrilled to be part of such a family and will pay back with goals”.

Koku who has had stints with Sunshine Queens , Osun Babes and Ibom Angels is a tormentor in the defence of the opposition with her naturally bullish nature and strength as her asset.

In another chat the team Manager of Rivers Angels Mrs Matilda Otuene Oyiloha is optimistic of a successful upcoming season for her team.
” We are a team of records and I also tell my girls that being a champion is not enough but maintaining such status quo there after is the most important “. She told the media.

Rivers Angels won the league in the 2019 season and were compensated with a trip to Spain which the process is still being tidied by the Rivers State owned team.
