The Secretariat of the Nationwide League One has come out to explain the reasons why some of the teams were disqualified from the Playoffs of the NLO Division 1 going on in various centers in the country.
The affected clubs are Sporting Lagos FA of Lagos, Hypebuzz Football Academy of Abuja , Vandrezzer Feeders of Uyo, Heartland Feeders FC of Owerri, Mighty Jets Feeders FC of Jos, Kano Pillars Jnr FC of Kano and Police FC of Abuja.
According to the Chief Operating officer of the NLO, Olusola Ogunowo those teams were affected by the cannot promote regulations due to Football Integrity clause.
He said that the clubs in NLO that has their main team in the Nigeria National League will not be allowed to participate in the promotion playoff despite topping their tables.
However, Ogunowo said the runners up in their groups will participate in the next round of playoffs, because the Federation has placed embargo on selling of slots after gaining promotion except the promoted team plays in that category for two seasons.
