WAFU WOMEN TOURNAMENT: AGGRESSIVENESS SAW US THROUGH…. MMADU

Super Falcons Assistant Coach, Maureen Mmadu has revealed to exclusivenews.com that aggressive and positive football saw them through to the final of the WAFU Women Championship holding in Côte d’iviore.

The former International said they foresaw a very difficult match against the Black Queens of Ghana, then advised the girls to be aggressive and purposeful all through the duration of the game.

” we know it will be hard because Ghana is a good side, but we told the girls to be very aggressive and purposeful all through the game. They really fought so hard, and this paid off”. She commended the girls for seeing off the Ghanaians, and advised them to remain focused until they win the trophy on Saturday.

Maureen also confirmed that there are no injury worries in the team, as every player is fit and ready for the finals on Saturday “the girls are ready for the finals, and they know that winning the trophy means alot to us, as it would serve as a moral booster for team towards the World cup in France” she concluded.
