Super Falcons Media Officer Rates NWFL Players High

The media officer of the Super Falcons of Nigeria Jane Nweze was full of praise especially for the home based players that represented Nigeria at the women’s world cup hosted by France due to the positive value they added in the senior national team and age grade national teams.
“There has been remarkable consistency in the league for the third year running, glamorous Super 4 and of course the AITEO cup had put the players in top form and shape.

Chidinma Okeke was a good ambassador in France and stepped into the shoes of Faith Ikidi comfortably when she got injured” She explained.
She further attributed the potential exhibited by Chiamaka Nnadozie in the world stage as a result of a very rigorous and strong league back home.
” She took the world by storm and also emerged as the youngest goalkeeper to have kept a clean sheet in a match at the world cup history, and to cap it all Oluehi was even the first choice also from the NWPL.
That will give you an idea of how talented the NWPL players are. ” She concluded.

Amarachi Okoronkwo from Nasarawa Amazons was basking in the euphoria of a good outing in the women WAFU cup emphasized that the experience in France was massive.
“I was spotted from the NWPL and was given a life time experience to train with better facilities.
Even though I didn’t get to play the atmosphere at the stadium was fantastic with a massive crowd, it has toughened me as a player and I am certainly a different player as we embrace the new season”.She stated.

The NWPL in the past two seasons has been a revelation in terms of players movement abroad and significant individual displays at the world stage.
Rasheedat Ajibade, Peace Effih , Anam IMO , Rubean Charity and others moved abroad during the Aisha Falode organised league.
The NWPL had a good representation of seven players with Rivers Angels recording the highest number of four players.
