Super Falcons Assistant Coach Maureen Mmadu has dedicated the award of Sporting Excellence given to her by the Rotary club of Nnewi to the grassroots footballers in the country.
It was a moment of Joy and celebration at the Con-Vaj Hotelsand Event Centre,Otolo Nnewi, Anambra State during the investiture of Rtn Ada ifepe Edward as the 7th President of Rotary Club of Nigeria, when the former Super Falcons Maureen Mmadu Received the Award of Excellence in Sport.
The former International who was only last month inducted into the Nigerian Women Hall of Fame for being the first Nigerian Woman to have Coached an European Clubside, said the recent recognition by the Rotary club of Nnewi has propelled her to do more for the grassroots, where the future of Nigeria football lies.
Maureen Mmadu was optimistic that if more attention is genuinely laid at the grassroots, Nigerian will surely dominate the game at all levels.
She advised upcoming footballers to remain focusEd, disciplined and dedicated in their game, as those are the principles of success in the game of football. She appreciated Rotary club for the recognition.
