STAR FOCUS: Abdullahi Mohammed “Kekere” : A Versatile And Energetic Footballer

This young lad few years ago when he gained admission into FOSLA Academy on the strength of his football skills, no one really thought he could develop to the level of becoming a versatile player with energy and vigour.

Kekere is a final year Political Science student of Nasarawa State University, Keffi and the current Director Of Sports, Students Union Government.

At the just concluded Nationwide league one, Area 3 centre, Kekere stood out on two occasions to rescue the team from defeat by deploying his skills in mesmerising the defence of Supreme Court FC and PCC FC.

He did so well at the centre that he earned himself genuine fans including the disables who chanted his name to the high heavens.

He is highly mobile on the field making seamless incursions into the opponent’s 18 yard box with ease.

He is a left footer with his greatest strength in set pieces. He can play corner kicks directly into the net, ditto free kicks within and outside the 18 yard box. He is very energetic and will always deliver when it matters most.

He is well decorated with medals from the NFF U13, FCT Principals Cup, All Secondary Schools (Shell Cup), NUGA and National Sports Festival.

It is obviously obvious with the level of his skills and leadership gift on and off the pitch and advantage of being a left footer, he has a future in the game and if by the mercy and grace of God he remains focus and calm, his career will get to the apogee and the reminiscence of Muda Lawal’s era will readily come to mind.
