The Senegalese Lions sailed into the quarters despite the poor shooting ability of ace player, Sadio Mane who plays for Liverpool of England.
The team defeated the Ugandan cranes 1-0 but Mane lost a penalty kick the second he blew off in this tournament.
Uganda goalkeeper fouled Mane in the box an offence that should have attracted a yellow but the ref allowed him to be instead of the second yellow and red card. Senegal became the second team to qualify for the quarters after the Squirrels of Benin gave Morocco a shock treatment via penalty shootouts 1 (4) v 1(1).
Tomorrow at 5pm Nigeria will play Cameroon in a focus match while hosts Egypt tackles South Africa at 8pm.
