The assistant coach of the Super Falcons of Nigeria Maureen Madu has been appointed as the matron of Royaltoms Int. football Academy.
The ex international smarting from the recent achievement as African and West African Champions had earlier in the year identified with Nnewi United as a technical director.
“My aim is to help motivate the grass roots clubs and as an individual assist in anywhere I can”
Responding to the media Maureen Madu also used the opportunity to assure Nigerians that the coaching crew will make sure to better the Falcons last performance at the world stage.
In the same breath Coach Olajide Royal of Royaltoms Academy , a rooted girls football Academy in Lagos state emphasised the need for ex internationals to take a cue from Maureen Madu and Ayisat Yussuf Aromire to add value to the game that brought them to lime light.
“I have been in the business of women’ football since 2006 and hopefully with encouragement from genuine stakeholders will go places and take possibly take a pip at the women’ elite division in the future”
Royaltoms Int football Academy has a category for young girls to sharpen their knowledge of football and the team also plays in the WAFA league.
The WAFA league serves as an opportunity for various academy and feeder teams to showcase their talents.
The league has been a very good resource ground for most teams in the Nigerian Women Premier League
