River,Enugu,Taraba,Zamfara and three others missing as NYG kicks off

Riverstate,Enugu,Taraba,Zamfara,Adamawa ,Cross rivers and kebbi are the seven states that will be missing in action as 5th national youth games kicks off in kwara state

The seven states have failed to register or show sign of intent as the event takes off today at university of ilorin, kwara state.

Meanwhile 30 states have registered and ready to participate in tournament meant to discover talents that will later represent the country at international competition.
The tournament opening ceremony is scheduled for 2pm at university of Ilorin main pitch while the honourable minister of youth and sports Sunday Dare is expected to declare the event open.

Sunday dare who was at the multi purpose hall of university of ilorin on monday where he met with officials of sports ministry and many of the young athletes who were going through the process of screening ahead of the event that will kick off today, charged the kids to give their best and leave the rest for the nation.
The event starts todaywith gymnastics by 10am where team FCT will hope to amass some medals and give states like Delta and Edo a run for their money.
