Players of Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia have appealed to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to immediately rescind his decision to sack the management of the club at this critical period of the League.
The players who spoken out on Tuesday after their morning training, said that the decision is coming at a time that the team needed the Management Board to support them out of the relegation waters in the League.
It would be recalled that the State Government at the weekend dissolved the Boards of both Enyimba International and Abia Warriors among others.
The Abia Warriors players appealed to the Government to reverse the decision as it affects the club.
They said this has become extremely important because of their position in the League.

Abia Warriors are in race against relegation in the Nigeria Professional Football League. They joined the NPFL in 2014.
Abia Warriors who are gradually becoming the Oriental leaders, having defeated all the South Eastern teams on their home ground will on Wednesday engage Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri in a Week 20 encounter. Only on Sunday, they defeated the Heartland FC of Owerri by Four goals to two in Okigwe.
