The Nigeria Pillar Of Sports, High Chief Donatus Agu- Ejidike has charged the Nigeria U20 team, the Flying Eagles to ensure that they beat all their oppositions in the quest to win a first ever FIFA U20 world cup.
Speaking with journalists, the successful businessman and sports philanthropist noted that the Nigerian lads have been properly prepared for the battles ahead.
” I believe with the preparations given to the team by the football authorities and coupled with the array of young and talented players in the team, we are good to go for the ultimate prize, which is the world title,” Ejidike stated.
The Flying Eagles will file out this evening 5pm( Nigerian time) against Asian giants, Qatar in the opening game of their group that also have Ukraine and USA.
The Paul Aigbogun led team are making their 12th appearance in the championship, having been runners up twice in 1989 and 2005.
Ejidike who is also a board member of the Nigeria Karate Federation, was quick to admonish Nigerians to pray for the wellness and success of the team during the championship
