The fourth edition of pension games kicks off on Saturday June 22nd to Sunday June 23rd ,2019 at Planet Futsal 5aside football pitches center,Utako with about 15 teams expected to be part of this year’s event
The organiser 5Stars Football and Consultancy Ltd said this year’s edition will be bigger and better because they are bringing new dimension into the organisation besides the fact that women football is being introduced for the first time into the games.
According to Olumide Aturu,CEO of 5stars football and Consultancy Ltd,he said ‘the management deemed it fit that women should not be left out, that is why women football is being included besides other sports like Board games,Egg and Sack race,Table tennis and Snooker.
The First edition of pension games premiered in 2016 with two teams participating FCMB Pensions ( Formerly Legacy Pensions )and Sigman pensions Premium Pensions won the second edition in 2017 with 7teams participating while Mubarak Balarabe emerged as overall Best Player
FCMB Pensions ( Formerly Legacy Pensions ) won the third edition with goal difference ahead of Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate ( PTAD ) thereby becoming the first team to participate in all the editions of the Pension Games competition.
Also, the regulator of the Pension industry National Pension Commission participated in last year’s edition with Abubakar Jiddah of Pencom emerging overall highest goal scorer.
