Oparanozie Sets To Return To Falcons : Apologies To NFF

Former Super Falcons Captain Desire Oparanozie is set to stage a return to the team which she left few years ago.

The exit of the striker which elicited reactions from Nigerians as they lambasted the Nigeria Football Federation and Super Falcons Coach Randy Waldrum for dropping the former captain of the side Desire Oparanozie from the list of players for the various tournament despite her sterling performances for Dijon in the French league.

The 27-year-old striker has 35 caps for the women’s national team, scoring 22 goals.

Exclusivenews.com.ng gathered at the Sunday Dankaro House of the NFF the former Junior International who had a serious misunderstanding with the football body has written an apology letter to the President of the Federation, Amaju Pinnick promising that she would be of good behavior always.

Our source said the “President is a father of all, he has forgiven her, and advised that she be invited for subsequent matches of the Super Falcons”.

Meanwhile, the Super Falcons are expected to open up their training camp in Austria next week, in preparation for the AWCON qualifiers against Ghana.
