Nigeria Ladies Open Golf Championship:Plateau State Governor,Simon Lalong Pledges Support For Tournament

Plateau state Governor,Simon Lalong has pledged support to Nigeria Ladies Golf Open Championship
Lalong made the pledge when the president of ladies golf association of Nigeria and Chairperson Organising Committeepaid him a courtesy visit at the Governor’s lodge in Abuja
The governor in his remarks recaptured his experiences while playing golf and some of the qualities of golf that everybody should emulate.
‘You can not cheat in the game of golf because if you do then there is a repercussion for it’ he said


Besides, ‘golf modes your thinking, change your life style and it also help you to meet different people’
He went further by giving them the assurance that he will be there on the opening day and will give them maximum support.
The President ,Ladies Golf Association Of Nigeria (LGAN),Ekanem Ekwueme in the company of the Chairperson of the Organising Committee, Julie Okah-Donli, who is the Director General, National Agency for the Prohibition of the Trafficking In Persons led some members of the committee to visit the Governor, as part of the awareness campaign to herald the annual event,
She also solicited for the support of the governor and asking him to take the official tee off for the event.

Ekwueme assured that members of the IBB International Golf and Country Club were not only prepared to host but to take the competition’s main trophy from the Ugandan.
The chairman ,organising committee for the championship,Julie Okah- Donli thanked the governor for seeing them at short notice while promising that they will deliver one of the best golf competition in the world.
Players from more than 10 African countries have indicated their interest to participate in the championship
