NBBF Invites U16 Male, Female Players To Open Trials In Lagos and Abuja

Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), has reaffirmed its commitments to the development of basketball in Nigeria, by inviting prospective U16 male and female basketball players across the country to its open trials to select players for the country’s cadet teams, scheduled to hold in  Abuja and Lagos, respectively. 


The planned screening exercises which has been described by stakeholders and enthusiasts of the game, as a well timed youth development programme that would further boost the country’s pool of talents, would begin at the Outdoor Court, MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, between May 25-27, 2023. While the train would move to the Outdoor Court, National Institute of Sports, National Stadium, Lagos on June 1-3, 2023.

In the press release signed by the Secretary-General of NBBF, Peter Njoku, the invitation to participate in the screening exercises is open to all state basketball associations, clubs and individuals.
