Nasarawa United FC Declares Season Closed; Sets up Committees

Sequel to the release of the 2019/2020 Nigerian Professional Football League Season table by the League Management Company, LMC, using the Point Per Game(PPG) mechanism, the Management of Nasarawa United Football Club has held a joint-meeting with the Technical Crew of the Club represented by Technical Adviser, Bala Nikyu, to officially declare the 2019/2020 NPFL Season closed.

During the over four hours meeting presided over by the Club Chairman, Barr. Isaac Danladi, at his office in Lafia, far-reaching decisions were taken.

  1. Management directed the Technical Crew to present an end-of-season report latest by Monday, next week.
  2. In furtherance and contemplation of the 2020/2021 Football League Season, Management set up a five-man Budget Committee headed by a member of Management, Rilwan Idris, to come up with proposed budget for the next Football League Season to the Government.

The Committee also has other Management officials as members while Club’s Secretary, Hassan Kyauta will serve as the Committee’s Secretary.

  1. Also, in keeping with the requirements of the Confederation of African Football(CAF), Nigerian Football Federation(NFF) and League Management Company (LMC) club licencing, Management set up an eight-man Committee headed by the Club’s Team Manager, Solomon Babanjah, to come up with ways and means to ensure that the club is properly licenced for the next football league season.

The eight-man Committee also has all the Club Management officials, Club Secretary and Welfare Officer as members while Club’s Media Officer, Eche Amos, will serve as the Secretary.

Both reports, with outlined terms of reference, must be submitted on Monday, next week.

Subsequently, Management thanked the Government of Nasarawa State under the prudent leadership of Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for the wonderful moral and financial supports given to the team.

Management thanked the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development under the capable leadership of Hon. Othman Bala Adam for the wonderful symbiotic relationship and support the club has been receiving.

Management appreciated the Nasarawa State Football Association headed by Alh. Mohammed Alkali for all the supports and encouragement given to the club.

Management also appreciated the players for the efforts put in to ensure that the team did not go on relegation.

Management equally appreciated the Technical Crew for their technical input to ensure the team remains afloat in the league.

Furthermore, Management appreciated the fans and other critical stakeholders for their moral and psychological supports to the team.

Management was full of praises for the Nigerian Football Federation(NFF), and the League Management Company(LMC), for ensuring that the league was played according to the rules inspite of the challenging times

The club’s Management said it is now looking towards the 2020/2021 NPFL Season with great expectations while assuring that it will embark on early preparations ahead of the new league season, saying the next league season will be quite different from the previous ones as it will not be business as usual.
