Permanent secretary of Nigeria’s ministry of Youths and Sports Development, Olushade Adesola has endorsed the existence of Sports Online Association Publishers of Nigeria (SOPAN)
The endorsement came when he respectively received on Thursday the Executives of the fastest growing Association at his office in Abuja.
Expressing his joy while addressing the Sopan Executive members, he said, ” We are glad to welcome SOPAN in our midst as we believe in your capacity to lifting and putting the Ministry of Youths and Sports in Spotlights.
“Your immerse contributions during the 19th National Sports Festival in Abuja overwhelmed us, with the consistent reportage of the sporting events ” Olushade acknowledged
The versatile Permanent secretary, Olushade Adesola switfy agrees to collaborate with Sports Online Publishers Association of Nigeria (SOPAN), with a bid to create more awareness about the Ministry.
“Sports generally is a media event, and we are happy to collaborate with SOPAN especially by promoting all our activities. Our doors are windely opened to ideas on how Ministry of youths and sports development can be moved forward, your constructive Criticism are welcome as well” he explained
Responding to the Permanent Secretary address, SOPAN, Secretary, Aderonke Bello who led the delegation in the absence of the Chairman and the vice Chairman who for obvious reasons could not make the visit thanked the ministry for the partnership.
“We are gratified to be working with Nigeria’s Ministry of youths and sports development, to particularly help cover and report all the activities. We are all Publishers, thus we can bend the media space to placing the ministry on the World map; we would continue to professionally remind the ministry what its stand for when the need arises ” Aderonke Reiterated
It important to state here that just before he left office, the immediate Minister of youths and sports development, Barrister Solomon Selcap Dalung also inked down his endorsement of Sports Online Publishers Association of Nigeria.
SOPAN executives who paid a courtesy call to the Permanent secretary of Youths and Sports Development Ministry were; Aderonke Bello( Secertary ), Francis Achi (Financial secretary), Joel Ajayi (Treasurer), Folusho Alade (Welfare officer) and Olaoluwa Aro( Public Relations officer).
