No fewer than 3500 delegates will participate in All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election ahead November 16, 2019 poll in Kogi state.
Our correspondent gathered delegates from three senatorial districts of the state will converge at Confluence Stadium, Lokoja on August 29 to pick the party flagbearer.
Governor Yahaya Bello and 15 other aspirants are jostling for APC governorship ticket.
Recall that APC Screening Committee headed by Senator Hope Uzodinma screened all the 16 aspirants at State Party Secretariat, Lokoja on Thursday.
Kogi East Senatorial district (Igalaland) has highest number of aspirants with 12, three from Kogi West (Okunland) and one aspirant which is Governor Yahaya Bello is aspiring from Kogi Central.
Our correspondent learnt that Kogi East with nine out 21 local government areas has 1502 delegates followed by Kogi West with 1137 and 876 from Kogi Central.
