In continuation of his town hall meetings with the various critical APC stakeholders in Kogi state, Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdullahi was stunned on Friday when the people of Bass LGA told him that this is a pay back time for him.
Lulu who visited the Oguma, the headquarter of Bassa Local government area was overwhelmingly received by the people, who told him in clear language that they have been waiting for this opportunity to repay him for his good deed in giving academics scholarship to their children at Fosla Academy. They promised to reciprocate his kind gesture to them by mobilizing support for him in the APC primary election holding on 29 August and the November election.
Responding, Lulu promised to establish a higher institution in Oguma if he is elected as Governor. He sympathised with the people on the terribly state of roads from Dekina to Bassa with a pledge to construct the road within a relatively short period once elected. He also acknowledged the proximity of the local government to the State headquarter where he intends to take advantage of the confluence of rivers Niger and Benue to promote tourism with a view to attracting foreign investors.
At the Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area, the former NFF President promised to construct the Akpanya – Ubele through Aloma road. He also pledged to construct Avrugo Ekwuloko road and all the bridges and drainage. He further reiterated his commitment to provision of water to Ajaka and its environs.
He said the youths will be empowered through the establishment of youth acquisition skill centre.
The stakeholders promised to rally support for the aspirant and ensure he returns elected. They blessed his candidacy and wish him well.
