Leader of the group, Mariam Sulaiman said apart from Sani-Lulu’s “experience, proven capacity and track record of performance and integrity in public service” the decision of the women on whom to back for the election was also informed by his effort in championing the course of the ordinary people as well as his respect and value for women.

The women said it remains on record that Sani-Lulu made Kogi state very proud with his performance as the President of the NFF where he turned around an organization that was on the verge of being scrapped for low performance, into a world class organisation, noting that they are confident that he would in the same vein deliver as governor of Kogi State.

“We mothers and daughters in Kogi believe in you. We believe in your character, capacity and sense of duty. We have confidence in your ability to deliver based on your proven track record of performance in public service and we are assured that you would not only live up to expectations, but also be a good role model for the next generation in our state”, the woman leaders stated.

The women group also commended Sani-Lulu for the respect and value he placed on women, which he demonstrated by being the first aspirant to appoint a female as deputy campaign spokesperson, a signal that Kogi women would be accorded their rightful place under his administration.

Speaking, Sani-Lulu thanked the women for their support and assured them of his unflinching commitment to not only turn around the fortunes of the state, but also to run a transparent and all-inclusive government that would redirect the resources of the state for the overall good of the ordinary people.
