President Muhammadu Buhari (retd) has boasted that he has fulfilled all the electoral promises he made to Nigerians in 2015.
The President who revealed this st the Federal University’s seventh convocation, held in Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, said he made progress in a number of sectors, including the economy, education, security, and anti-corruption.
He claimed that, “the three main goals of his campaign were to improve security, grow the economy, and combat corruption. Let me remind us all that my campaign for president in 2015 was predicated on the commitment to improve security, build the economy, and tackle corruption. I offer my sincere thanks to All-Powerful Allah.”
“At the time of my inauguration, the nation was essentially under a terrorism and various types of insecurity siege. I declare resolutely that the fight against terrorism has been won, having resulted in the regaining of all the areas that these organizations had taken over. And terrorism in Nigeria is currently on its deathbed.”
“It is also significant that under my leadership, Nigeria climbed from the murky depths of economic collapse to become regarded as having the largest economy on the African continent,” .
“This is no easy task. Not necessarily. It can only be the end product of a carefully planned developmental strategy.”
He said before he took over office in 2015, corruption had the nation by the throat.
The President was represented at the occasion by Goodluck Nanah Opiah, the Minister of State for Education.
