
National u-15 head coach,Haruna Usman Ilerika has disclosed that the exposure,experience and change of mindset that future eagles would benefit from the four nation invitational tournament in Japan is unquantifiable.
Ilerika who spoke against the backdrop of a resounding 7-0 victory recorded by the Future Eagles against Ubale FC in a friendly match played,Wednesday at FIFA goal project center in Abuja said the exposure the players would gathered against teams from other continents would go along way in shaping their career.
‘It is very important in the career of everybody that is going for this tournament and the nation at large,by the time the boys travel and spend about 18 to 20 hours in the plane there mindset will never be the same again’
‘It is a big experience in terms of exposure,and playing against European or North America opponents would remove any feeling or trait of inferiority complex that they might be harboring’ he posited.
He also thanked the President of Nigeria football federation and the board members for approving this tournament .
The team will depart Abuja for Japan on 9th June for this year’s edition of U16 International Dream Cup which will hold 12th – 16th June in the city of Sendai in Japan.
Nigeria will compete for honours in the tournament alongside the host country Japan, Romania and Mexico
