FG COMMENDS SUPER EAGLES SPORTSMANSHIP AND PERFORMANCE IN CAIRO, EGYPT – PERM SEC – OLUSADE ADESOLA

In furtherance of its commitment to Sports as a tool for enhancing national unity and cohesion amongst the citizenry, the Federal Government has commended the performance and sportsmanship exhibited by the Super Eagles in the on-going Total Africa Cup of Nations 2019, in Cairo Egypt.

Having defeated Burundi in their Group B Opening Match by a lone goal to gain the maximum 3 points on the Score chat, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Mr.  Olusade Adesola urged Super Eagles players to remain steadfast and focused as they play the Guinean tomorrow, adding, that the determination and zeal that ensured their victory over Burundi should be surpassed  to brighten their chances of gaining the maximum points in their Group to qualify for the round of 16 matches.

The Permanent Secretary, Mr. Adesola assured the Super Eagles of the commitment of His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR  to their  welfare – while affirming that the allowances and entitlements due the  players are  receiving expeditious attention.

He therefore, wished the TEAM success as they play  Guinean  tomorrow to gain the maximum points, stressing, Football loving Nigerians and the Federal Government are  solidly behind them in this glorious service to their fatherland.
