The Federal Government has commended the superlative performance of
Team Nigeria to emerge Champions of the inaugural Africa Cup Track
Cycling held at the Velodrome of the National Stadium, Abuja.
For hauling eight Gold, seven Silver and Seven Bronze medals, the
Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development,
Mr. Olusola Adesola stated that their stellar podium performances
can only be attributed to being focused, disciplined and hardworking.
He therefore enjoined the Champions , an appellate truly deserving by
our Cycling Team, to strive towards sustaining their high level of
professionalism in future Games and Competitions, adding, this would
continually etch Nigeria on the medals table.
