Chairman of federal capital territory football association,Adam Mouktar Mohammed has expressed happiness over the quality of young talent discovered at the inaugural FCT U15 tournament.
Abuja municipal area council (Amac) 2 emerged champions of the tournament, which involved the six area councils of the federal capital as well as fosla academy.
Amac 1 were runners-up, while gwagwalada area council finished third.
it was a great exercise which unearthed some very exciting youngsters said mouktar mohammed.
Adam said the emergence of some interesting talents at this year’s competition is a huge source of encourage to the FA board and motivation to organise this competition on a more regular basis, probably thrice a year.
Mohammed promised during his electioneering campaign to develop and promote football at the grassroots as well as provide and improve the sporting infrastructure in the FCT.
only recently, the FCT FA signed a co-operation agreement with two top european clubs, Juventus and Bayern munich, for youth football development.
