The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has impeached its chairman, Mr. Chidoka Ndubueze of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for flagrant abuse of office and highhandedness.
The impeachment was adopted during the Executive committee meeting of the association held at the FCT SWAN office in Area 10 Old Parade Ground, after four out of the six executive committee members, which is more two-third unanimously endorsed it.
They listed his offense to includes but not limited to:
A. You have show lack of capacity to lead FCT SWAN. For one year of your administration, you have not initiated any program that could move FCT SWAN forward.
B. Instead of working for progress of the association, you chose to racketing assignments that were SWAN event to your friends and cronnis.
C. Abandoning your position as chairman and allowing outsiders to take control of swan event.
D. Failure to abide by the standing rule on the 5% payment to SWAN on any trip. One year after your trip on SWAN slot to Russia world cup, you are to remit 5% of your honorarium to SWAN)
E. Collection of money on behalf of association without remitting them E.G unity torch money giving by FCDA, N200, 000 on the brief of NYG and others.
F. Acting contrary to the decision of the EXCO on several issues and trying to imposed Emmanuel Afone of NAN and Mr Linus, his colleague at the FRCN as Ex-officials
The impeachment was signed by
