The tsunami that is ravaging Nigeria Football is gradually creeping into into the league clubs, as the ICPC has started inviting clubs that were suspected to have won the NPFL title in a dubious ways.
Exclusivenews.com gathered that Plateau United has been guest to the anti graft agency severally in the last two weeks to answer queries on modalities that led to their winning the League title in the 2016/2017 League season.
Our source at the anti graft agency said that the management of the club were invited to answer various questions on a petition written by a prominent and influential citizen of state who seems unsatisfied with the way the team won the league and petition the anti graft agency to investigate the club.
It would be recalled that various individuals in the football circle are currently answering questions on their activities in football.
However, this would be the first time a clubside will be invited to answer questions on the processes leading to their winning the league title “the petitioner believed that Plateau United bought the title, and they have been invited to answer certain questions on it. We didn’t detain anybody, but we wanted clarifications. If we need them, we would invite them again” our source at the anti graft body said.
