President of Cycling Federation of Nigeria ,Giandomenico Massari has rued the exclusion of track cycling from the forth coming African games in Rabat, Morocco.
Massari in an exclusive interview with exclusivenews.com.ng said the exclusion is a big blow for Nigeria track cycling
‘Initially track cycling was suppose to be part of the African games only for the host country to pull the plug in the dying minute’
He went further to say ‘ it would have been a good avenue to test the level of improvement of our athletes and looking ahead to the world but we have to take solace in the Africa cup track which has exposed the athletes to too competition’.
However Nigeria will now compete only in the road races at the African games and hopefully with proper preparation we can shock the continent.
