The permanent secretary ministry of youth and sports development,Mr Olusade Adesola escaped death by whiskers yesterday after the aiteo cup match between Kano pillars and Niger tornadoes in Kaduna
Mr olusade adesola who was in Kaduna to check the preparation of Nigerian athletes camped in Kaduna ahead of the African games decided to use the opportunity to watch Aiteo cup match between Kano Pillars match and Niger Tornadoes only for him to be attacked by hoodlums parading themselves as fans of Kano pillars.
In his words the permanent secretary said ‘I thanked Jehovah for my life and for some dignitaries who also graced the occasion but escaped with their lives’
‘More need to be done in terms of education of our fans and we all need everybody to rally round and support this beautiful game’
The permanent secretary car windscreen was smashed in the process but he is safe and healthy.
Meanwhile NFF president Amaju Pinnick who was at a meeting with permanent secretary today in Abuja had ordered is P.A Chikelu Iloanusi to fix the car immediately
