District Head of Yankaba community of Kaura Namoda local government area of Zamfara State, Buhari Ammani, three of his wives and four other men were abducted and one person was killed at the early hours of this Friday by suspected bandits.
According to the chairman of Kaura Namoda local government, Lawal Abdullah the bandits invaded the community at 1am Nigerian time where the kidnapped eight (8) persons, that is three women and five men.
Three wives of the district head of Yankaba community who were abducted were Jummai , Asma’u and Lami Buhari.
The local government Chairman on a telephone said before security operatives were mobilized to the community the bandits have gone with the kidnapped persons.
He, however, called on the authority concern to step up efforts towards ending the security situation which ravaging most communities in Zamfara State.
Abdullahi said the situation is frightening as its displacing several citizens of the state and preventing them from farming which is their source of livelihood.
