Nigeria’s only individual gold medalist at the Olympics Chioma Ajunwa has reiterated her resolve in contributing her own quota as Nigeria moves forward in actualising a drug free society.
” My inspiration is from a bitter experience I had having been caught up in the web of this deadly manance.
Our youths should have the singular opportunity of understanding the adverse negative effects of drug taking”

A C P Chioma Ajunwa made this clarion call during the Drug Abuse & No Tobacco conference organised by the Chioma Ajunwa Foundation recently at the police College in Lagos.
” We need to continually bring to the awareness of our young boys and girls especially those that can be easily influenced by peer pressure, and the negative turn around it deposits in one’ life”.

She also took time to speak on the falcons performance at the on going women’s world cup in France where the falcons advanced to the second round before elimination.
“I give kudos to the girls for their decent performance, at least they advanced from the group stage and equalled the 1999 set of Super Falcons”.
She strongly believes that longer camping period will enhance cohesion and better understanding amongst the players.
A C P Chioma Ajunwa was a multi talented sports woman in her younger days having represented Nigeria in the track and field events. She also played football and represented Nigeria in the maiden edition of the women’s world cup in China in 1991.
