The League Management Company (LMC) organizers of the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) has proposed Sunday September 22 as the kick off date of the 2019/2020 League season.
In a draft program signed by the Chief Operating Officer of the League Salisu Abubakar, and distribute to all the participating clubs, Day 1 matches will be played on September 22. The program which took all the various football tournaments into cognisance, will see the teams playing midweek matches on Match Day 4 (9/10/19), Match Day 6 (16/10/19), Match Day 12 (20/11/19) and Match Day 17 (18/12/19).
The mid season break will run from 30 December 2019 to 10 January 2020. The League is expected to end on 17 May, 2020.
