By Godwin Bamigboye.
This is a departure from the usual practice. Yes! Deliberately, I kept quiet. I have been thinking and consulting on how Football in Nigeria will attain the dream I envisage.

This is an office that is replete with all kinds of criticisms. I know the complexion of the office and I have to thread softly in this difficult terrain. I know I have the advantage of experience. I believe I have learnt enough and with the benefit of hindsight, I have no choice than to deliberately put my name in the history books of Football in Nigeria. A good start. The stakeholders are talking but I look forward to my goal to record unprecedented achievement. Yes! I didn’t sing about me and my team’s 100 days in office. It would have been on Sunday, January 8, 2023. There are things to celebrate but I chose to remain silent and target more achievement. There is a journey ahead labelled with tasks that must be accomplished. Celebrating 100 days in office would be a distraction.
I am happy that we are beginning to see signs of progress in the Nigeria Premier (Professional) Football League (NPFL). I am aware of the global achievement of the Flamingos in India. I am aware that they have not been formally received, honoured and rewarded. This is a task that must be done. Every ticking moment is precious because the journey ahead is long, tortious and the tasks enormous.
I and my team members have received commendations and great counsel. We shall welcome more to enable us move to higher heights. The tasks will be better achieved through collective effort. We shall avoid distractions and ensure unity in the Football Family. I am now 107 days old in office. I dedicate the 107 days to the entire Football stakeholders.
My gratitude goes to the Football stakeholders for their unrelenting support. Me and my team members will go all the way to actualize our dreams for Football in Nigeria. Join hands with us to achieve our goals within the One Thousand, Four Hundred and Sixty (1,460) days we have to make meaningful impact. Thank you.
