Police Games: Koku Leads Zone 2 to gold ; Mentally Ready For New NWFL Premiership.

The just concluded 12th edition of the Nigeria Police Games held in Awka , Anambra State will continually hold bitter sweet memories for Damilola Koku.

Damilola Koku who captained Zone 2 (comprising Lagos and Ogun footballers) clinched the Gold medal and Golden trophy.

” I had a nice run in Awka, played with more sense of urgency and a renewed desire to not only be a goal scorer but to also increase my rate of assist in the over all games”.

Zone 2 won all her matches beating zone 9 by two goals to nothing , Zone 6 by same margin.
In the third match Force Head Quarters parading the likes of ACP Chioma Ajunwa , Kudiratu Khillani , Ayomide Ojo and Gift Oleka were also defeated by Zone 2 with a solitary goal.
In the final Game Zone 2 defeated Zone 7 by a lone goal however Koku was stretched off the pitch barely 5 minutes into play as a head to head collision with Ayomide Ojo left her with a worry some cut on the forehead.

“I am happy with the 2 quality goals scored in three matches
and hope to improve in my numbers with Rivers Angels”.

On her expectation in the NWFL premiership.
” I am happy that the League is blessed with an individual like Ms Aisha Falode who takes time mostly to be so detailed to task clubs to improve players welfare and a new look premiership”.
The NWFL Premiership will kick off on the 18th of March 2020.
