Plateau United FC first choice goalkeeper, Chinedu Anozie has revealed his side’s readiness to accept whatever decisions that may emanate from the League Management Company LMC, concerning the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL, post COVID-19 pandemic.

He made this disclosure while fielding questions from journalists in an NPFL dedicated WhatsApp platform, NPFL Undiluted.

Series of calls from various quarters have been directed at the league organizers to cancel the current season and hand the title over to the league leaders, Plateau United FC, but the former Abia Warriors’ safe hands has stated that the Tin City boys are fully focused and ready to run with the decision of the league body upon resumption of football in the country.

“Plateau United FC are ever ready; we’re determined to finish strong regardless of whatever decision the LMC comes up with at the end of the day.

“If the decision is to conclude the season league, we have a team that will fight for the title.

“And if the final decision is to cancel the season and make us one of the representatives in CAF inter-club competitions, no big deal, he said.

“We’ve ridden on the mentality from both our Technical crew and Management, to always stay positive, no matter the circumstances.

The Anambra State born goalkeeper, who started his professional football career in Jos with Mighty Jets FC, is currently leading the other top-flight shot stoppers in terms of clean sheets kept.

With ten clean sheets in the league out of 25 rounds of matches, Awawah, as he is fondly called, identifies New comers Dakkada Int’l FC as the side that has given him the toughest challenge so far this season.

“The only team that has given me a tough challenge in the league this season is Dakkada Int’l FC

“They have a very good and compact team; playing against them in Uyo was a mountainous task for us.

“Even after going 2 goals up in Jos on Match Day 20, they put us under immense pressure until the blast of the final whistle, concluded Anozie.
