NFF SET TO SETTLE LIABILITIES… Request For Account Details

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) may have completed arrangements to offset most of the financial liabilities it owes to the various teams, staff and stakeholders scooped at the Sunday Dankaro House Secretariat of the Federation.

According to our impeccable source at the Secretariat, the debts which amounts to millions of Naira and may be extended to the last five years.

In his words, our source said “yes the Federation has demanded for the account details of those that we are indebted to. This include players, officials, staff and some individuals and organizations that we have patronized in the past five years and whose monies are still outstanding. They have started sending the requested details, and their payments will be effected in a matter of days”.

The source was not forthcoming on actual time when the financial liabilities will be settled, but we discovered that the request for account details were has made two weeks.

Those most likely going to benefit are players of the National U-17 male and female teams from 2015 to date who have outstanding payment to collect, National U-20 Male and Female teams with outstanding debts, Super Eagles and Falcons with outstanding debts among others. However, we could not ascertain as at the time of going to press, if the Super Sand Eagles were inclusive.

The payments may be made from the COVID-19 bailout funds released to various national associations by FIFA and CAF.
