Chairman of Nasarawa United Barrister Isaac Danladi has expressed his utmost satisfaction on the burial of late Chineme Martins.

The Nasarawa United boss who doubles as the Chairman of Club Owners said though it was very painful loosing Chineme at a young age but the club took solace in making sure that the financial and logistics support needed by the family was taken care of by Nasarawa United.

“There is no controversy over his burial , we provided the logistics needed for a befitting state burial for him”
He further explained that the most important thing is that Chineme was given a befitting burial and his family is happy with the club and the role we played.

” It is very glaring that because of the inter state lockdown due to the Covid 19 pandemic , the publicity and numbers of people present would naturally be low”
He further revealed that there was no ill feelings from any quarters
” The family wanted a quiet burial and coincidentally the lockdown provided such security.

Chineme Martins died on the 8th of March, when he slumped on the pitch of play against Katsina United in Lafia and later gave up the ghost in the hospital.

He was buried on the 6th of June in his home town at Isikwuato, in Abia State.
