Jigawa Golden Stars Sack Gilbert Opana Led Coaching Crew After NPFL Relegation

The Steering committee of Jigawa golden stars football club has disengaged chief coach of the Team Gilbert Opana his assistant Auwalu Bade and Abdulaziz Adeza from their duties.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary of the Steering committee Jafaru Muhammad Shuaibu and made available to newsmen.

The statement added that Ado Sulaiman Mato and Yakubu Garba Aleka have been appointed as chief coach and Assistant while Babangida Muhammad will remain as Goalkeeper Trainor.

The Steering committee wishes the former coaches successful life in their future endeavors.

Also the committee had approved four weeks holiday for players and technical crew.

The statement pointed out that the activities of 2021/2022 will commence on 14th September 2021
meanwhile reports say the sacked technical adviser Gilbert Opona has got a contract with Lobi stars football club of makodi Benue state as one of the team’s coach.
