FIFA President’s Visit Forces Repair On NFF Secretariat Road

The proposed visit of the Presidents of the world soccer governing body, FIFA, Gianni Infantino and the Confederation of African Football, CAF, Dr Patrice Motsepe to Abuja on Thursday, immediately after the opening ceremony of the first edition of the Aisha Buhari Invitational Tournament which kicks off on Wednesday, has forced an urgent maintenance and repair works on the road leading to the NFF /FIFA Goal Project At the Package B of the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja. scooped that the number one football person in the world, will lead others on his entourage to pay a courtesy visit to President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja before they return to their base in Zurich, Switzerland. The FIFA President will be accompanied by CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe, NFF President Amaju Pinnick among others to the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The Football egg heads are also expected to visit the Sunday Dankaro NFF Secretariat and the FIFA Goal Project all in the the Package B of the Moshood Abiola Stadium.

Our correspondent learnt that the August visit may have forced the leadership of the NFF to mobilized contractors to begin immediate repairs of the road which had remained in a deplorable condition for almost two decades.

Five nations- Morocco, South Africa, Mali, Cameroon and Ghana will take part in the week long Aisha Buhari Women Tourney which is now a FIFA ranking tournament.

The opening ceremony will be between the Super Falcons of Nigeria and the Black Eagles of Mali.
