FCAPCF Donates Cash, Relief Materials To Late Uwa Family

First Child & Prisoner Care Foundation (FCAPCF) has donated N500,000 and relief materials to the family of late Miss Vera Uwaela Omozuwa, a 100 level student of University of Benin who was raped and murdered on the 27th of May, 2020 in the capital city of Edo state.

The FCAPCF founder Martins Efe, who was represented by the Director South-South of the foundation’ Ogienwanye Abraham, during the foundation’s condolence visit to the family residence on Friday, expressed disappointment at the action of the perpetrators, adding that their kind gesture is in line with its mandate towards reaching out to indigent Nigerians.

” Its quite painful to know that things like this still happen, to know how poorly the parents have been living and raised this child, this is quite painful’’.

“We are happy with what the Inspector General of Police said that they would leave no stone unturned to investigate this case and we pray they apprehend the culprits”.

. “We are here to support and do our part just to put smiles on the face of the family and sympathize with them’’ he added.
According to Director of Admin, Efe Uwa David, registered his sadness, while urging parents and everyone on taking precautions in protecting their wards against future occurrence

“We are here today to present some relief materials to the family of Uwa; we urge everyone to be vigilant and we should protect our female children most especially the young ones who are growing up”.

Responding to the kind gesture by FCAPCF, the late Uwa’s parent, Mr and Mrs Omozuwa, who were in all tears in the surprise of the love and support shown towards the family thanked the foundation for identifying with them in their trying time.

It would be noted that the case has since been transferred to the Nigerian Police Force headquarters in Abuja for a more effective investigation in its bid to bring the culprits to book.
