Cross River ICT: State Govt Partners Microsoft To Establish Data Academy

Cross River State Government has entered into a partnership with World known technology giant, Microsoft to establish an ICT/Data Academy in Calabar, the state capital.

The development is a boost to the efforts of Governor Ben Ayade to make Calabar the first smart city in Nigeria.

Speaking in his office at the end of a technical session with representatives of Microsoft, Ayade said the partnership will define the roadmap for the digital transformation of the state.

In his remarks ,Microsoft’s Security Director, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Region ,Osmen Ulukuz, said that the digital transformation in Cross River has already began with the agreement.

The demonstration of confidence by Microsoft to partner Cross River on ICT, according to the Governor will start a digital transformation in the State and change the state’s economy and job opportunities for the youths.
